Rising Sun Energy, LLC became a reality in 2018 with a goal of building a mineral, non-op leasehold, and overriding royalty portfolio within the state of Oklahoma. We believe in honest, fair, and transparent transactions, and we pride ourselves on doing the right thing above all else.
Our Vision
We understand that the Oil & Gas industry is one that can be complex and overwhelming for many mineral owners. Our goal is to help make that process less intimidating by working with land owners one-on-one, and explain the process every step of the way.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, our team works diligently to make every transaction as seamless and simple as possible. We pride ourselves on being “Oklahoma people, doing Oklahoma things”.
Leadership
Brian M. Atchley is the founder of Rising Sun Energy, LLC. He is an Oklahoma native, and attended the University of Oklahoma where he earned a B.A. in Economics and later earned an M.B.A. from the University of Central Oklahoma. Brian began his Oil & Gas career in 2008, and has achieved the designation of Certified Professional Landman (CPL) through the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).
Throughout his career, Brian has done business and managed projects in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico. He has also been a professor at the University of Central Oklahoma where he taught Oil & Gas Agreements, as well as Contract Management & Finance.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and traveling.
